How can something be "huma"-like?? Either the unified memory has common adresses for any hosts (CPU/GPu etc.), or not. It's not a greyscale thing, its simply black or white. The XBOX cant do it, because it has 32MB EDRAM which is *NOT* working as cache, therefore these 32MB need their own...

Thanks a lot for the long explanation. So in short it is a simp matter of "they cannot do it" / missing know-how. Didnt think about that, I got the wrong idea that all professionals should be on more or less the same level. Well at least I then hope that STM can collaborate with GF a bit more...

Totally agree. Now we just need AMD to become a member of the open-power club and design an x86-Decoder for that animal. Then they can ditch their Babydozer-line A dual core version with 16 threads 16MB L3 @5 GHz would be enough for me :ninja:
