Oops, I forgot to add that it can also occur a little after the disc is being used. In other words, after the initial spin up.

Thanks for the responses guys. So you guys are saying that the clicking does not matter? I do not have SCSI. I'm is using a regular IDE setup. It is a light "thud" click sound that can occur singly or repeatedly while the disc is spinning up. It does not occur every time a disc is put in. I...
