yep, you'd have to be careful about the parts you get though. Make sure the LCD's compatible because not all 14.1" panels are made alike. This is another reason why the different sized upgrade I was considering didn't pan out. I found out the hard way.

LCD mod/upgrade on laptop 14.1" -> 15.4"

This may sound really strange to some but I was wondering if anyone has tried modding a laptop LCD, shell and all, from one size to another. I'm particularly looking to do this with my 600m whose maximum resolution is SXGA+ at 14.1" to get it to WUXGA at 15.4" by buying a part off of ebay...

I just got the b wifi router but unfortunately it doesn't give good enough reception for my current situation. Does the remedy to my problem involve getting a g router instead or is there a cheaper solution? In any case, thanks OP. I got 3 of the USB wifi keys and one router.

Compaq Athlon laptop $699.99 AR Circuit City or Best Buy

thanks for checking out what's needed for firewire to work on this laptop. I have two firewire cards with a NEC chipset and VIA chipset that both don't work with this computer, which I feel is a shame. I'll have to check out the Compaq branded pcmcia card.
