Win XP Pro SP 1 starts up fine, all programs are working fine except for one... Windows Explorer. When I open Windows Explorer, explorer.exe's cpu usage goes up to 98+% and just hangs, I've given up waiting after 10 mins. I kill the process, start explorer.exe again, and everything runs fine...

Extremely slow startup

I've acquired a P3 667mhz system running on a Tyan S1854 board which was taking 30+ mins to boot into Win 98SE. A friend needs an upgrade so I figured I'd put their hard drive in this system thinking the problem lies with the old Windows installation. Well, it's still taking forever on this...

You're talking about those certificates at the seti site? On your certificate page you can change the certnum value in the url to see what the next level is. It doesn't make the certificate, just says you having completed x units yet. The milestones are 100, 250, 500, 1000, 2500, 5000, and...

What Is The Favourite Star Trek Series Amongst SETI@Home Crunchers?
