I had an ATI Radeon 7500 in the past and its Tv-out was very good in my opinion, but that's subjective of course.
The previous guy with the 7200 said he didn't like the Tv-out, and I think 7200 and 7500 have the same tv-out!
So go figure!
Hey I just meant 9500 stock speeds! All I did was to enable the 9800 softmod, doubling the pipelines.
The clock is at default 275/270
I tried overclocking too but I didn't push it a lot, because my memory chips get too hot to touch.
The checkboard effect is irrelevant with overclocking...
Using the softmod I managed to turn my Radeon 9500 128MB non-pro to a 9800 (theoritically)
The results are GREAT!! The benchmarks numbers jumped and I was jumping up and down with joy...that was until I tried to turn the FSAA mode on and try the benchmarks again. The very well-known checkboard...
I suggest an ATI Radeon 9500 128MB non-pro version.
It's around the money you want to give and it has a good performance too.
Plus you may be lucky enough(like me) and be able to softmod it to a Radeon 9700!
Plus it has ATI's guaranteed TV out and 2D quality.
I took one a few days ago and I am...

After trying to install the new drivers for Win ME I had the same problems too, but I couldn't install it manually. I tried but it didn't work.
I think ATI...
Check the box that your board came with to see if your card is 'Built by ATI" or 'Powered by ATI".
If it is "Powered by ATI" then ati's drivers won't work with it, you have to get the reference drivers from ATI's website or even better, get the drivers from the website of the maker of the...
I am concerned about 2D quality, I have a 19' monitor and I use a 1280x960 resolution.
Is there any difference in 2D quality between different card brands?
Does anybody know which card is better at 2D quality?
Is Geforce 3 Ti better than Geforce 2 Ti at 2D quality?
Has anyone seen a benchmark of the new Hercules 3D Prophet II Titanium?
It is a very interesting card with a much more interesting price. Not all of us can afford a GeForce 3!
This card runs at 250/250 which is much faster than the default Nvidia 250/200 setting. It's even faster than the...
