The newer board look different, many resistor on the back of the board, alos different CPU thermister.
The northbridge still the one with chrome looking circle but its from year 2001, this is more stable than the previous one when i run this newer revision.
Haven't try the FSB yet, maybe...
I have build 2 Duron @ 1000 with 230 watt generic power supply and run just fine. I use CD-RW. CD-ROM and SCSI card, SB Live, internal modem, Force feedback USB Steering wheel, GeForce2 MX and 3 8cm fan and rated @ 0.41 ampere, its 4.92 watt each!!!
I believe CPU Burn 2 is the best, I tried RC5, SETI, and many program but CPU Burn the only one made my CPU hottest more than any.
Also I run it with 3d mark 2000 demo loop.
So you want better memory score and suffer for everything???
That doesn't make any sense especially when you run @ 133 you also get 133 memory speed
Benchmark your performance and you tell me BTW not just the memory benchmark :-)
Try using this, I fix my choppy 3D mark in win2k. This is from AMD site

Because its coppermine you need to set the jumper on the sloket, otherwise your CPU overheat.
So many company make money with this issue, they try to sell new board because the old one doesn't support coppermine, its all bullshit, just use manual voltage on slotket and everything fine.

hovenas : lapping your heatsink is sanding your heatsink with sandpaper/gridpaper, use fine one, get it in hardware store. Usually people use this sandpaper for car paintwork. Make your heatsink as flat as you can, the surface become shiny after.
gtd 2000 : I don't use stock fan and this is the...
Thats strange, try removing the heatsink and clean the CPU and heatsink, maybe you need to lap the heatsink. When you put it back make sure to wipe the CPU and heatsink with rubbing alcohol before applying thermal paste and don't use your hand, hopefully will reduce the temp
