Thanks anyway...I fixed it by dropping one of my optical drives... Now just running all 4 devices off of the onboard controllers.. thx SP

hmmmm.... I was looking for a 9600P but I am wondering if spending a few extra $$$ is worth it for the 9700? wouldn't the BBA at Compgeeks be a 3yr warranty??

I have been sitting on the fence with this.... I just ordered my first refurb motherboard from Newegg. It is an ABIT NF7... The only accessory I really want is the extra USB2 backplate.... I guess we will see.... SP

Maxtor or Seagate?

I dont see the real world difference in speed, but I am a quiet freak... therefore, all my home machines run with Seagates... As a consolation though, if I had to go with a different drive, I would go with Maxtor above WD SP
