Thanks for the feedback, guys. I think that I'll start looking into the details more on what is available from HP in the way of an all-in-one machine with networking built-in. As I mentioned before, something like the HP Officejet 6310 looks like the sort of machine that would meet my needs...

Thanks for that. It's helpful to know that a printer with a built in networking capability is a better choice than trying to patch things together with a print-server, networking device. How well do these printers (with network capability) handle sitting in stand-by mode for several days...

Help my pick some good 2.0 speakers for my friend.

I'm not familiar with how the 2 speaker Klipsch sound, personally. I think the 2.1 Creative I-Trigue 3300 sound pretty good. They aren't the cheapest 2.1 speaker systems, but I think they sound better than those. I can't say how much better the more expensive systems might sound than these.

I believe that you have to go back to older video cards that only worked with 1X and maybe 2X AGP slots to have a problem. They used 3.3v signaling. Any card that specifies 4x-8X AGP support will use the 1.5v signaling found on current motherboards.

I know that the manual says that DDR266 memory is supported, but I haven't checked to see how the motherboard handles the DDR memory bus speed dividers. So, I'm not sure if that memory speed is available with all frontside bus speeds or not. I assume that someone running DDR memory on this...

FMA, thanks for the tips and your experience with overclocking this motherboard. I'm always open to trying some new settings to see if they might help. For me, setting the memory timing to Auto didn't seem to make an difference. Bumping the FSB up from 288 to 290 still resulted in a failure...

Thanks for the tips. I agree with you. It looks like the extra latency introduced when running your DDR2 memory asynchronously on this motherboard, compared to the frontside bus, negates any potential benefit from the higher memory bus speed. With no higher memory-bus to frontside-bus ratios...
