4850x2, 4890 tri-fire

I think I will go with the third 4850 soon then. I think the 4850x2 is going to be more than enough for awhile though. I was just worried about rendering over two monitors.

4850x2, 4890 tri-fire

I bought a 4850x2 this christmas and I was wondering what type of performance gains I might see my slapping a new 4890 in there with it?

Well you know I guess I will give the witcher a try. I also didn't realize there were expansions for Oblivion!!!!! I will get them immediately.

Good to about the witcher. Yea I have been playing Fallout 3 also, but for some reason I just really like the feel of the "magic" games. I don't know what it is but it seems more satisfying to light someone on fire with a spell and then impale them with an arrow, than to just shoot them. lol

Ok, that is good to know about softh. I absolutely love your monitor set-up. I am not sure how flexible crossfire is with multiple monitors, but I do have 4 dvi ports so I should be able to do something with it. But as far as gaming, do most games handle that resolution, or is there something...

Until recently I was mainly a fps shooter or racing fan, mainly due to the fast pace. However, recently I picked up oblivion and instantly loved the immersed feel I got from the quests. I now need another game along oblivion's line. I have been eye balling "The Witcher" but don't know to pull...

Triple monitors?

I have 1 acer 24" monitor now and was wanting some feedback when it came to everyday use, gaming, and programming with three monitors. Also I don't know about the triple head to go or if my 4850x2 will run all three with standard outputs. And if anyone has any gaming performance information...

Best card in the $200-$250 area?

I absolutly love my 4850 x2 2gb. I havent found any driver issues yet and I have played 10+ games since purchase. Oh and as far as the cooler being loud, this replaced a 8800gt and the 8800gt was much more obnixious with its high pitched whine. And my x1900xt was louder than the 4850x2. Just...

Asus p5W DH Deluxe Help

Umm... I had to put my old ide dvd drive in otherwise I have no optical, but I would really like to get this figured out. I looked on asus's site and I saw nothing. Everything about the sata ports seems to pertain to raid.

Need >= 24" Monitor Suggestions

I haven't used the other 4 monitors, but I can say that I really like my acer x243w. Lots of space, it's really cool to have two txt documents up side by side at a good size.
