Overwatch

There have been many people quiting in the middle of competitive play lately Luckily for me I was on the team that noone quit on.. but on the other teams they were down to 2 people. This happened to me twice in the past 2 days.. out of maybe 6 games total. I felt bad for the remaining players.

Comcast chat rep retaliation

You should be able to return comcast equipment at any UPS Store. The guy there said they do about 10 per day. It was easy and they gave me a receipt. No way was I going to wait in line at the Comcast store a mile down the road to return some extra modems. They mailed me 2... even though I use...

unions - yay or nay

I've been in plenty of UAW union plants, and the union just makes it difficult to get anything practical done. Like waiting 30 minutes for the guy authorized to operate a broom ( a plain old broom).. to clean the floor of a machine. Guy was on break. the operator could not press the green...

My dad wants to go to Alaska, what should we do there?

Automation is really upon us, threatning more jobs than ever, what next?

Learn how to program robots. There are never enough guys in the plants that know how to do it well. I've been with a major robot company for > 15 years. We are coming for your jobs. Just kidding.. they usually take the jobs that are too tough for people to do, either too heavy of equipment...

Overwatch

The first few games I joined, I lost connection about 30 seconds into the match. That happened 3 or 4 times in a row. Then I played probably 10 rounds just fine.

I'm gonna let you finish 'Muricah, but Mexico seems to have better drivers.

Last time I was in MX a couple months ago they drove bumper to bumper.. pure madness, scared the bejezzus out of me, but yeah, they are used to it.. all that close driving there would be sure to end up as road rage or fist fight or worse here.

Search internet for brand, model, and problem. Years ago I had a projection TV that was doing strange things. The internet said I was not alone... and that all I had to do was solder a few joints that wear over time. I managed to fix it myself with a few hours of work.. mainly figuring out how...

Anyone notice more ads from Facebook lately?

FB Purity blocks ads nicely on FB. I use a Chrome plugin called Disconnect. It's supposed to block all those call backs to FB from others sites.

Comcast doubled my internet speed

Mine doubled too.. I just ran the speedtest.net. Cranking along at 115Mbps. glad I didn't go with YouVerse who could barely guarantee me 6Mbps, although I still hate Comcrap.
