Where are good places to buy a system these days?

Thanks everybody. First off - we will be upgrading the existing system for their personal use...or they may gift it to their parents so there is a computer to use when visiting them... W/ respect to the places, Monarch & ABS were two names I couldnt remember but knew about before...

Their current system was my wedding present to he and his wife - a small shuttle PC. Athlon 1600xp+, 40GB HD, 512 DDR Ram and a GF3 Ti200. Needless to say, it's time for them to upgrade. I do NOT want to build another one for them because: 1.) I don't want to play tech-support if something...

OMG - Forgotten Hope Mod for BF 1942 is AWESOME

Darn - finally had a chance to fly last night. What a PITA. The recoil makes being an ace much harder.

BF1942 or Joint Ops?

Been playing the JO demo, but IMO it's nothing compared to BF - not as fluid. Part of this bias may simply be that I've played BF for so long and really love it. The mods for BF are great. Desert Combat is great, but Forgotten Hope, as I mentioned in another thread, is fantastic...sound and...

OMG - Forgotten Hope Mod for BF 1942 is AWESOME

Based on my 1.5 hours of experience (and no flying - but I'm a pilot at heart) I'd have to say it's a bit slower than DC and along the lines of vanilla BF. The real difference is in the realism, graphics, etc.... Sure, it's nice to have mines, expacks, pistol, gun & wrench all together...

Funny you say that - I grew up in PV but now live in Newport Beach. I don't think PV has seen anywhere near the run-up that Hermosa, Manhattan, etc have seen. Hell - you have $500K+ homes in Lakewood, $1,000.0 in Pedro (Point Fermin area), and houses in the $700 - $800 range in PV (not many -...

I don't disagree that the prices (and appraisals) are still really high Happy - but I think it's turning at this very moment (though hasn't turned to be extremely noticeable).

Seems that way to me -I hear mortgage apps are slowing, I've seen offering prices are being reduced, and any houses that aren't dirt cheap ($650K+) seem to be staying on the market longer. Agree, disagree? Why?
