Why have AMD APUs failed on the market?

The desperation for people to believe that there will be a meaningful CPU release for FM2+ before zen in this thread is sad. Just goes to show you how bad a position AMD is in if people are becoming this diluted about their future.

You are aware that Atom CPU's are faster then E1 CPU's by a significant margin, right? Even a 45nm Atom from 08-10 puts down better single threaded performance. I have one sitting right next to me. lol

[Sweclockers] AMD Zen coming in Q3 2016, will be on 14 nm

I'm thoroughly convinced after the recent post of their quarterly earnings and the 7% layoffs that they will be bought out or be making a deal with someone like samsung in the near future. I don't think they are viable at all within the next 2 years to bring that income back without an infusion...

AMD it seems always starts out with unreasonable pricing for performance on the day of release of new chips, then they seemingly gauge the market response and adjust the price accordingly. FX 9xxx series anyone? $1000 dollar chip knocked down to $260 bucks in a matter of what..3 months?
