Hey Gang,
I have a friend getting a new computer and he's going with two 250GB SATA drives. Since he's got 4 slots for hard drives on his system. What effect would the following have?
- RAID Two 250GB SATA drives
- Install his old 14GB IDE drive as a SWAP drive
Thoughts?
I think they are good if you're using you system for video editing. I'm thinking of throwing in two 75GB 10,000 RPM Raptors and then have a nice large 400GB 7200 SATA drive for everything else.

When booting up I am able to see the...

make their products fairly expensive.
I'd rather get an iRiver based on price, but I do like the interface for the iPod.
Just download Firefox: www.getfirefox.com
You have your choice of good plugins to add additional functionality, but most importantly FF is nice and clean unlike IE (the pig)
Hey Guys,
I need someone to spec out a machine that's main purpose is for video editing, and general home office use. I'm looking specifically at what video cards would be best used in this type of setup.
