Verbatim 52x24x52 CDRW (rebadged Lite-On!) - $14.99 AR @ Best Buy (7/20-26)

Still waiting on the Verbatim rebate for this drive over 12 weeks now. Got it at Best Buy back in April. BB rebate came long ago. Waiting on Verbatim rebate still, eventhough it was supposedly approved over 3 weeks ago after I pestered them with emails.

LCD flat panels are made up of discrete TFT's to create the pixels you see on the screen. In order for the LCD to deliver it's sharpest image, you should run at the 'native' resolution of the flat panel, ie. so that exactly one pixel is mapped to one TFT. Thus, a 17" LCD spec'd at 1280x1024...

And not to start loose the lawsuit hounds or anything like that, but I do remember reading somewhere in the FTC laws that not delivering products in a reasonable and timely manner is in fact one of the conditions for misleading or false advertising. I think having an item which is in stock...

Just thought I'd chime in with my take on this deal. Seems to me that Dell in fact WANTS you guys to cancel. Think about it... they are going to loose tons of money if they fulfill all of these orders. Now, assuming what someone else said earlier, and that the speakers are in fact IN STOCK...

Even if these guys are legit, I wouldn't give out any credit card info as the site is UNSECURE. But I'm sure all of us seasoned internet buyers know never to give out credit card info over an unsecure connection, right :) ? Also fishy is that the page was slapped together on FrontPage3.0 ...

MSI Geforce2 Pro 64MB - $126.00 + shipping

I believe "real" Pro's are 5 ns, and I believe this card is 5 ns as well. Newegg's price is a bit cheaper including shipping costs (but not counting tax), but they are out of stock :(.

Also, as mentioned before, Staples has their own pricematch policy, and the webpage lists the stock as "N/A". There seems like there could be many 'gotchas' on this deal and I'm this close from pulling the trigger, but I'd really like some confirmation first that this would be possible...

Can anyone confirm this PM will work? I really want/need a digital camera right now and was bummed to have missed the old S100 deal by probably a lousy 20 minutes. I don't want to risk having $450 tied up in the camera from Staples and then having to return it if I can't get the BVG from AMEX...

Wow, not bad. I wanted to know if AMEX Blue would let us use BVG on this. Now the big question is, does it matter that the 'CompUSA ad' (ie. printout of old webpage) is valid, since even on the saved HTML page, you can clearly see a date of 8/24/01. So, if you buy it say today on 8/27/01...
