Those Poor, Abused TSA Workers....

From what I have seen terrorists don't really care about being caught after the act - most times their plan seems to be to go out with the blast. From that perspective, there is nowhere that will ever be safe. So, why not just stop worrying about terrorists hiding under every bush and just...

A Look At Ubuntu 11.04

Not all users of Ubuntu stick with default settings. Some of us change nearly everything. For me, Ubuntu is just a spin on Debian that is slightly easier to introduce Linux neophytes to.

Linux antivirus?

I have been using linux since 1994 - I have never seen a linux virus. Trust me, you really have absolutely no need to be concerned about viruses on linux. I do run virus scanning software on my email server, but the purpose of that is to catch viruses in email before they get to any windows users.

2009: The year of the Linux desktop

For me, 1997 was the year of the Linux desktop. I remember that was the year for Linux desktops as well. I haven't had this experience. Neither CS3 nor CS4 work at all using Wine.

Looking to install Linux from hard disk

This looks like a job for peanut linux! Seriously though, just go here and follow the directions in install.txt for installing from harddrive. If you need any help then go ahead and read the howto.txt file and you might want to look over it anyway. HTH :)

What do you think of MandrakeMove?

I suppose it's just like 9.2 only bootable, which means that it would probably be a better linux "demo" cd to carry around than knoppix, considering Mandrake's WindowUser-friendliness.
