Having trouble with Remote Desktop

Well, I got it working. I found the exact info that I needed at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=289289. Turns out that for whatever reason no users or groups were added to terminal services, so that was the problem. Thanks for the help, I appreciate it!

Hard drive failure - any chance of recovery?

Well, the freezer didn't help at all. Let it it sit in there for about 2 days, pulled it out, plugged it in, fired up the computer, and it started clicking. Windoze still couldn't read the drive. I guess it's pretty much a lost cause at this point. Thanks for the suggestions, though.

Hard drive failure - any chance of recovery?

I tried the chkdsk /f on the drive, but it can't perform the check disk operation It's a FAT32 drive, and I only have NTFS drives now. Said it couldn't check a FAT32 volume. Oh well. I am trying the freezer thing now... drive's cooling off in the freezer. I'll give it another shot tomorrow...

WiFi file sharing with XP & 2K?

Well, turns out that it was my Sygate firewall. I had it setup to allow LAN activity with my old LAN cards, but I totally forgot to also allow the WLAN cards when I installed them a month ago. I'm a moron! Thanks for the suggestions.

WiFi file sharing with XP & 2K?

Well, that didn't work either.. the problem is that 1 computer can't see that the other one even exists.. I never see the "name" of the other computer in network places/neighborhood.

I just diabled simple file sharing in XP Pro and setup identical users for each system and then added those users to the share permissions... still can't file share, or for that matter, I can't even see the other computer's name in Network Places. Any ideas?
