Network Doesn't Connect on Startup

Doesn't sound off the wall to me as that was one of the first things I did...and have repeated it several times since then.

Network Doesn't Connect on Startup

Thanks for the quick reply. This is the only wired computer on the network, but the wireless ones connect fine. And I've already tried setting the computer to a static IP...no dice. Honestly, I'm worried it's a hardware problem on my mobo at this point...but it just seems like such an odd way...

Just reinstalled Windows 7 x64. ASUS P6X58D Premium mobo Onboard Marvel Yukon 88E8056 PCI-E gigabit ethernet ASUS RT-N56U Router All drivers and firmware completely updated. The problem is that 75% of the time I either cold boot into Windows or awake from sleep, the card does not...

Technet - Get Windows 7 + Office 2010 Cheap?

Thanks for the info. I had seen this while diving into their fine print. Fortunately, it doesn't really apply to me and I'm wanting a single license for my home PC. I'm thinking I'm going to sign up.... :)

Technet - Get Windows 7 + Office 2010 Cheap?

Someone backup my math here and tell me what I'm missing. If I am buying Windows 7 Ultimate and office 2010 Professional when they come out this year...why do I not just buy a Technet subscription now? Preordered Win 7 Pro - $100 + Uprgade price to Ultimate - $? (may even skip this step)...

Found this thread and wanted to add a question to it.... All of my computers, switches, and WHS support jumbo packets...but I also have a 360, PS3, and Slingbox HD that I stream data to from my PC. Will enabling jumbo packets on that PC corrupt streaming of data to these devices? And will...

Wow...I really like what I've found to read on these switches :) I just ordered one from Amazon with overnight shipping...but I'm thinking about replacing my other two switches (DLink and Trendnet) with two of these... Anyone else have experience with Procurve switches or something...

Thanks for all the replies and input. To address a couple things... 1. You're right, I don't need a gigabit router if I'm using a gigabit switch at the hub...however, I am plugging 2 devices directly into the router, which then goes to 2 different gigabit switches that each have their own...
