Has anyone had success installing an Agilent ArctiCooler (HACA-0001) onto an Intel Slocket?
I'd like to try the arcticooler, but it doesn't fit on my MSI Master 6905 Slocket. The lip on the clip doesn't fit due to the jumpers on the Master, also the lip seems too long to snap in place on the...
I bought the slot loading Pioneer 16x awhile back and found it to be way too noisy. The Toshiba SD-M1402 (12X) was incredibly quiet compared to the Pioneer. I'm not sure how the 12X and 16X Toshiba's compare, though. Probably worth trying the 16X, just make the store you buy it from has a...
I've tried coolbits on Detonator 6.50 and 6.67 and the hardware options tab for oc'ing is still unavailable. I'm back to the 6.49 drivers and everything seems to be working fine. BTW, I have a CL 32 MB Geforce II GTS.

I have been using a SY-6BA+III for nearly a year... first I had a Celeron 366@550 for about 6 months. Now for the past 4 months or so I have been running a C-II 533a@880... no stability problems whatsoever.

I have a white everglide that was useless (especially with Quake) with my IntelliEye mouse. So definitely don't get a white everglide. I ended up getting a black ratpad that works great.

I am using an IntelliEye with the Ratpad... got the Ratpad because the IntelliEye didn't work with my Everglide and using the mouse with no pad was actually eroding my desk's surface. I am really impressed by how well the intellieye works with my (black) Ratpad. Excellent for Quake.

I bet the small difference in Quake scores is related to the video card used. FiringSquad shows that with a Geforce 2 GTS, an oc'd Celeron performs close to an oc'd Duron at high resolutions (1280 by 1024 and above)in Quake 3. With a lesser video card the video card will probably limit the...
I played Star Control III on my old Pentium 200 (it might run on a P 75)... I was entertained by it, but I thought the game was kinda short and too straightforward. I am completely unfamiliar with SC II. Was SC III a dumbed-down version of (or a complete departure from) SC II? SC III really...
WD was great about replacing my IDE 27.3 WD Expert drive (purchased in 10/99) because it was too loud. They sent me an advanced replacement, which was very convenient for transferring data from my old drive to the new one.
Here's a link to the web-site detailing their replacement options...
I purchased both the 16X Pioneer Slot Loading and the Toshiba 12X. I returned the Pioneer because it was super loud when playing an audio CD or reading data from a data CD. (I never tried a DVD on it.) A few people have said that the Pioneer is only loud when reading data, so maybe the noise...
