    Maybe it's too far out to announce (early 2026?). Going to guess bringing it back to life would take some time.

    Huh? Are they going to revive big navi?

    That's hella expensive for some PHY's and Cache. I'm guessing the compute chiplets will be N2(P) and bonded with 4.5um SoIC then?

    Agree with all you said and it absolutely makes sense for MI355x. But i'm just a bit disappointed that apparently according to the article linked in the previous page that MI400 will stay with a 2x Base Die setup. So in absolute terms the design will not be THAT much bigger than MI355x. Well...

    Isn't a design with only 2 retscale AID's kind of small? I thought with CoWoS going 5.5x reticle they would scale bigger. The design doesn't seem that much larger than the MI355x (which also has 2x retscale AID's)

    https://ir.amd.com/news-events/press-releases/detail/1226/amd-announces-versal-premium-series-gen-2-enabling-new There's no way AMD isn't coinciding a PCIe Gen6 ready DC Platform with this. Venice / Zen 6 -> H2 2026 confirmed? 😆

    The sram chiplet basically doubled in size (36mm² -> 70mm²). I can't imagine this only being due to more tsv's. I bet there's actually more than 64mb of cache on it if only to keep yields high. Maybe Turin-X will get some sku's with a bit more cache... maybe +96mb instead of +64mb. Wafer on...

    Are both your ccx's equally good? 😯 And do you by chance know what clocks you can roughly expect from an average retail 9950x? (@1200mv)

    Oh damn, did not expect that. Can you just plop it into any existing genoa system or do you need some kind of prerelease BIOS too? Well, not too much longer until these are out now anyways... Hope you had fun with it 👀

    HWUB got their 10-11% gains having turned off said switch in both 23H2 and 24H2. Might be that VBS off benefits more from the update, might be game selection, might be something completetly different... Still a lot of open questions.

    With how starved the uncore / memory of Granite Ridge is i'm gonna go out on a limb and say 19% IPC for Turin (at 5600MT/s). It's already starved on Raphael and I can only see the gap widening between Desktop and Epyc.

    yup, you can actually buy them in many countries now. for example here in switzerland the following shop has many asus models in stock since yesterday: https://www.brack.ch/asus-vivobook-s-15-oled-m5506wa-ma012w-1682611 (this specific model has 26 in stock right now and 104 more arriving in 10...

    Is Zen 5 still 4-wide decode? Or has that not been disclosed yet.
