a few drivers don't like the /3gb switch as they can't use memory above 3gb.
So if you realy use the 3gb switch, add /USERVA=xxxx after it.
Start with a xxxx value of 2800, it will let 200mb free for drivers.
Quick note :
The integrated graphic chip of the G965 motherboard is incompatible with the xp /3gb boot switch
A workaround is to use the userva switch to keep a few Mb free below 3gb
Very interesting as Acronis don't give any information about this on their forum support.
In fact, I'm very very disappointed by the customer support.
I'm not a oem customer, but a "full version" reseller.

You're quite right with "average supply voltage"
With PWM, instead of reducing the voltage, it sends short pulses of 12v. The advantage is that the fan rotation speed could be much more slow than only with a voltage reduction.
As english isn't my native tongue, I'm not comfortable to...
Three pin connector has speed control
Four pin connecter has speed control only if you connect a four pin fan.
It's not a voltage control, but a low frequency PWM.
BTW : It's not a good idea to connect the cpu fan to one of the case's fan connector.
These fan are controled by another...

Hello,
