AIW 9600 Pro & upgrade to MMC 8.8 issue

ATA66 Motherboard running ATA100?

I think you might find that is the drive, not specifically the interface. The DiamondMax drives are the second fastest IDE on the market, with the IBM GXP's ever so slightly faster.

encode raw avi to divx

Make sure you have the DivX codec loaded. From the video menu, select compression, and then the divx codec (you can configure it from here too). Select SAVE AS from the file menu, it will then output a compressed AVI.

How do I apply heat transfer compound?

I have a new mobo and cpu on the way, and so went out the other day to buy some heat transfer compound (aka thermal grease). Question is though, when I apply it, do I just put it on the die of a Socket A processor, or over the whole ceramic? (Are they still made out of ceramic? I dunno, but...

Are you thinking of an ASUS A7V133?

Bummer, must be a long card. I am about to get one, putting in a Radeon though, which is pretty small. The other IDE channels are UDMA100 too.

2 128Mb Chips, or 1 256Mb
