ActiveSync Problem

Alas, would that there were. ActiveSync is [when it works] an adequate program, but as is generally the case with Microsoft programs, it lacks the fine-tuning you refer to and that I would like. Really wish to heck there was a competing product that did not need to have ActiveSync installed...

Win2K Desktop Icons Are 256 Colors

I resolved this problem by lowering the rate I was pushing my chip. I have a P3/866 and I had pushed it to 1066. When I dropped it to 1001 on my CUSL2-C board, and rebooted, and rebuilt the icons they all came back. I have no idea why this worked, but the problem is gone.

USR PCI Fax Modem Does Not Release Line on Inbound Calls

I have a USR PCI Fax Modem and when it gets an incoming hangup call on the fax line, it usually does not release the line. Is this a hardware failure or might there be some string I can enter to encourage this thing to release the line? Thanks.

Win2K Desktop Icons Are 256 Colors

Thanks, Drewpy, but I have tried all that. The icon problem extends to folder icons as well. This happened back in August, after I updated to SP3 (never again!) as well, and I am cussed if I know why. Back then I resolved the problem by a format and reinstall EVERYTHING (except Data on the D:\)...

Win2K Desktop Icons Are 256 Colors

My desktop icons have lost the 32 bit color and are appearing in 256 colors. I have tried rebuilding in TweakUI, deleted shelliconcache, and it is no use. The video driver is up to date, and this is driving me nuts. Anybody have a clue? I rebooted off the Win2K disk and did the repair...

Thanks for the reply, but another question or seven ... I installed ATM, but if Control Panel still has the FONTS folder, how can you deactivate fonts? Are there certain fonts that HAVE to be in the WINNT Fonts Folder to run stuff, while the others are moved to the ATM folder and deleted from...
