I remember using System Commander back in the day and it was fine, but is it still supported? Would it try to divide by zero if I put XP-64 on it?
As for Grub, that should be the last one I install, right? So an order of Win98SE-WinXP-XP64-RedHat9 would be the way to go?
Is there an end-all boot utility for multiple operating systems or is Grub good enough?
Visual Studio 2003 pushed my main box off the deep-end and it's time for a rebuild. I'd like to run multiple OS's and hate the performance of VMWare. Win98SE, WinXP and RedHat 9 all running on seperate...
I went through ordered a bunch of ink hoping for that sweet sweet coin, but after entering my credit card information Fireforx indicated that everything was encrypted correctly except for the information I was about to send.
Use a one-timer or buyer beware.
Anyone run the CBOX and get goofy processor usage out of the Digidoc program? I figured it'd be handy to be able to see temps while running 3DMark, but you have to be running Digidoc and that program seems to spike the CPU to 100% every time it queries for temps. At least it does on XP SP1.
If you know exactly what it is, you can just merge it into the registry with one little change. Example:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
-[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adaptec]
"Notray"="False"
The difference being the - in front of the registry tree.
You can import a reg file from the...
Yeah, I'm going to go read VMWare's site next time I decide to shoot my mouth off.
Note:VMware Workstation 4 is supported only on host processors and host operating systems running in 32-bit mode; processors and operating systems running in 64-bit mode are not supported.
Recently purchased an Athlon64 and want to give 64-Bit Redhat a go, but I'd prefer to run it off of VMWare. My question is if I'm running VMWare on XP and make a virtual install of Redhat, will it actually take advantage of the 64-bit processor?
Picked up two 3.3MP Vivitar cameras (pointed out on the Black Friday sites) at Target on Wednesday for $129. Woke up at a leisurely 10AM, walked up to the empty customer service desk and asked for a price match at $88.
Was I the only one to think of this?
Coupler indeed, I use two of them on my network; one connecting 75ft to 75ft and another going 25ft to 10ft. They're simply connecting copper wires; if they worked like you suggest they'd be called 'RJ-45 Crap Shoots' as opposed to couplers.
I recently purchased an N-force2 board for the home theater system and an Athlon XP 1700+ to go with it. I've been doing some checking up on unlocking the processor, but haven't been able to find specifics on particular chips. I'm looking to underclock it.
So for the record, is unlocking...
If you make a bootable CD, the virtual boot disk that the CD runs on is A:\ moving your 1.44 floppy to B:\.
It ain't broke so it don't need fixing. When we start running out of network drive letters, then this will become an issue.
Thanks for the input guys, XP1700+ it is.
It's not going to be on the outside, it's going to be tucked in the cabinet where VHS's would normally go. Tough to explain visually, but I'll post pictures of the mod when I'm done with it.
