DIY Granite Cutting

This. We went from a decent NG stove with cast grates to an induction top in our new place. I will never go back to gas if I can help it. Ever. All that time spent cleaning grease off of those grates and burners. And cleaning up spills immediately so they wouldn't scorch. And taking everything...

Harbor Freight tool thread

I have their big dust collector. It is awesome. My only complaint is that it pulls nearly 20 amps on startup so it will flip a breaker if anything else is running. My new shop will have a dedicated circuit. I may buy a big compressor there once I'm up and running. I expect it will be loud but...

Look: the Honda blowers probably ARE the best on the market. But here's the thing: It just doesn't matter in most cases. The Ariens stuff is generally above most of the other consumer-grade stuff and is all that is really necessary in most cases. OP: Based on the pictures you will do just fine...

Engineered hardwood flooring

We have an accepted offer on a house that is being built that will be completed in early/mid-June. It's a spec home on 1.7 acres in a "development" of four houses. Great builder, property, and location. Anyway, one of the upgrades we're debating is laying engineered wood flooring on the 650 ft...

LAN -> SBS2011 -> ClarkOS filter -> outside world I had thought about that over the weekend. I'm assuming there's some kind of app for this. Parental controls would likely work. Talked to a Verizon rep today to get total cost on these things and do some looking. I'm just not liking the 7"...

Recomend 10" sawblade for tablesaw

While this is all true....you don't get into homebrewing to save money on your craft beer addiction. Brewing at home will make you buy more craft beer ("research"), bigger kettles, bigger fermentors, gas burners, propane tanks, auto siphons, kegs, keezers, fermentation chambers, grain mills...
