i would get the 3000+ and the MSI K8N Neo2 if you're limited to using an AGP video card.
You really cant tell what kind of an OC you will get with a 3000+,3200+, or 3500+.
Just get the 3000+. as for the 10x multiplier it may help if you want to run 1:1 and your memory isn't all that...
nice
the 298x9 2682 is the setting i would leave it at. It should be the fastest. Remember max bandwith doesnt mean a whole lot if you cant use it. the 298x9 should be the best setting.
as for the VGA stuff, i started having problems retaining my video settings after 295x9. windows...
running prime95 for 5 minutes is usually enough if you are just trying to find out if its stable or not. once you get to your max. run Prime95 overnight. make sure you watch the temps.
do a google search on prime95 and download it for free.
another quick test is superPI, use the 1M...
go make sure your LDT(HT) is set to 3x and set your memory divider to 166. crashing most likely means that you arent at a stable OC. You should not have reboots unless you are unstable. I don't have reboots.
As for voltage. I only raise it after I find I can get no more out of it at...
Okay i looked up your board on MSI. in order to run Dual channel you need to use DIMM1/2 or DIMM3/4 or DIMM1/2/3/4. like i said originally. The difference I saw was that the 2 dimms closest to the processor are Purple and the two furthest away are Green
Green = Ch. A
Purple = Ch. B...
cool. Let me know if you squeeze any more out of it. =D
Oh and try to run dual channel if you can, there is no reason why you shouldnt be. I don't exactly know how much it helps but its never a bad thing to run it if you can.
use 1 and 3
Okay, here goes.
On your system
250MHz = HTT (FSB)
9x = CPU multiplier
9 x 250MHz = 2250MHz Your CPUs clock speed
When you set your HTT to 800 MHz you are telling your system that you want a 4x HT multiplier. 4x200=800
The highest you can set that is 1000MHz or 5x200.
You...
Congratulations man! You have got a hell of an overclock considering your the memory you are using. Goes to show, that memory aint all that. You got a nice 3500+!

check it out. a loss of 400 million would be outrageous. They aren't losing any money. I think had issues with sales on their flash stuff but not CPUs.
so it will do 285x9 with a 166 divider? stable? that is 2565Mhz. Nothing wrong with using a divider. I used the 166 divider to get to 290x9. Couldn't have gotten there without it. Even with OCZ plat. Don't be afraid of the volts either. I use 1.60v and get the same heat +1C i did with...
Oh and by the way, i didnt want you to host a picture. I just wanted you to post a list of your hardware and your BIOS settings for your overclock. Like in my signature. =D
umkay, wow so yours is actually accurate. kick ass. you still have a bit O' volts to play with if you want to take that route but I believe your memory is going to end up being a limiting factor. besides at 2646MHz 294x9 you are already haulin ballz
