I still get times where it randomly slows down and locks up. When it does it, if I go to the task manager I find it's using 100% of the GPU when I try to scroll down the frozen page. Kind of frustrating that I end up going back to Chrome. Now it could be one of my extensions I will admit so I...

I used a multimeter this morning. It shows 1.225 volts when running Realbench at 4.9 GHZ so I edited my post. Still not bad. I may keep it here, I may go to 5.0. I want this thing to last 5+ years. Moral of the story: If you don't have a multi-meter, you don't have a real reading. Nice jump...

Stable here at 4.9. Load level calibration is at "level 2" and voltage offset is at -.08 volts. Given I want this rig to last 6 years I'm perfectly happy around here... 4.9 for 24/7 use though at some point I'll try for 5.0 as 1.225 volts at load is still pretty low. Seems I got a decent enough...

I used the 3D printed ones they sell on ebay for 12 bucks and a vice. Very easy. Handbrake temps reduced from 64-71 to around 48-56 using NH-D15. I used Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut. It doesn't take much. Much less than the size of that blob in that above video. You want to spread it around...

Why are AMD cpus prices being slashed to heavily?

when you look at the actual benchmarks from sites like passmark the price decreases really are justified if you look at a combined performance number, plus the fact people generally prefer more IPC versus more cores and the 8600K at $300 is going to outsell the 1700X at the same price, which has...

I'm gonna delid mine with those 3D printed units you can get for 12 bucks on ebay along with some Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut and some liquid electrical tape to protect the capacitors and then I'll finish my my overclocking. What the heck.. it's a hobby.

57 is still too slow for me. I've always disliked how long it takes firefox to go "back" to previous pages, and it still completely locks up on certain sites with certain scripts causing me to need to kill it manually. Back to Chrome. I also love Edge, but the extension support is lacking...

Everything put together and an easy stress test pass by setting the multipler at 48 and load level calibration at "2" on my Asrock Extreme4 with no other changes made besides enabling the XMP profile on the RAM which again was a matter of ticking one button. This stuff is too easy these days...
