Just an update. They had the Asus monitor at my local Frys so I grabbed two. For some reason they limited it to 1 per customer but they let me buy two.
Got home and hooked everything up. Thought one was defective but apparently these don't auto detect source and it was set to HDMI only. I...
Price is definitely good and folks do seem to like it. The only real complaints seem to be about their customer service or bad manuals or something like that. So unless I find someone really crazy wrong I think I may go for this one.
Heh sorry. Good as in good enough. Cheap as in $200. So basically the best monitor I can get at that price point. The Px2370 would have met my criteria. Gonna look up that Asus and see what folks say. I could get a refurbished px2370 for $195 but was trying not to do that.
But if you know of a...
Hey all,
Ok, I'm going to be replacing my monitors very soon. I had a couple of 27" but misfortune befell them and I actually wasn't happy with their text clarity as they were the same resolution as the 23/24" monitors.
So I decided to get a couple of good but smaller ones. After doing some...
Ok in the hopes that someone can help me out here without me having to reinstall yet again. Here's the synopsis and symptoms.
I had to reinstall Windows because a system restore deleted my ntuser.dat from my profile which exists on a different partition and is accessed through a junction...
Hey there, thanks for the reply. I didn't see your reply before I tried to do a system restore which screwed me up good. It somehow deleted the ntuser.dat from the profile. I spent hours trying to recover before I finally gave in and reinstalled Windows. I didn't do a clean install and tried to...
Oh yeah. Things like:
"The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."
and
"The previous system shutdown at 9:32:00 AM on ‎7/‎21/‎2011 was unexpected."
I...
Hey all,
This is getting really annoying. Built a new system and it seems like as soon as I solve one issue that I think is causing me lockups I develop another.
My current issue is that my machine will lock up but it's a slow process. Give you an example. I have WoW opened and playing in one...
Just need straight with no angles on either side. System is doing great. Had some hiccups but solved them. After experiencing the speed of the SSD I'm sooo tempted to buy another one but I won't...least not right now :)
Just wanted to follow up this thread in case someone else has the problem and is looking for the ever elusive solution.
My solution was of course to reinstall the JRE but first I needed to be able to uninstall the old one which was proving stubborn. After deleting the directory manually and...
Oh great. Not what I wanted to hear. I love the speed of that drive but I didn't read any of these issues before I bought it. Well hopefully they'll fix it or I can return it. The only thing I have on it are programs and games so no real need to backup anything.
The CMOS was reset due to me disabling legacy USB in the bios and having it no longer recognize my keyboard so I couldn't get into the bios. Looking at the bios updates now but don't really see anything that would address the problem and I'm wary of just upgrading my bios just because.
