I feel like I bought a BETA mobo

yea i have a 20pin Antec Truepower 550watt, i bought one of those 20->24 pin adapters, should i plug that in? I have the 4 pin thing plugged in i believe, and also the EZPlug standard power connector type thing by the video cards. If i use the 24 pin adapter, do i take out the 4 pin connector...

yea, it's always handy to have one around (God damn microsoft, can't you support CD/DVD-Roms, various removable drives, various flash memories or something??) personally i like using ASUS in-windows flashing utility, tho sometimes when u installed a bad bios, you better have that damn floppy...

PCI Express 8x vs 16x

Well with the whole deal about the ASUS nforce boards having mislabeled SLI doodads, I check my nvidia driver details and it says im running PCI-E 8x, is there a big [performance] difference between the two?
