just wondering if anyone has any experience with this notebook, i think it is also called the W3A... if someone could confirm that I am in Canada so i have been reading some forums and was recomended CanadaSys as a good place to get Asus notebooks in Canada, if anyone has experience with them...

Overclocking Athlon64 3000+ vs 3200+

This has probably been discussed a few times before, but I basically want to know if if people think the 3000+ or 3200+ is better for overclocking. How much better is the 1MB Cache on the 3200+ once you start clocking it up. Also this is going to be my first system build in about 3 years so i...

win 98 for free?

I was reading an article over at hardwarecentral.com the other day and at the end the author brought up an interesting idea. Basically it was that M$ should make its older OSes free once they have been replaced by newer ones. I was just wondering what you all think about that idea? I can't see...

Weird complete system meltdown.

Sounds like you have tested a lot of things. I would get another computer over there and start to put components from the broken computer into the one that works. My first guess would be memory, but it may be mutiple things so try them one at a time until you find something.

I'm going to be reformatting. . .

Vid Card drivers will be at the maker of your graphic chipset, probably ati.com or nvidia.com. Motherboard drivers will be at the maker of your board like abit, or asus etc. But make sure you get the correct ones so look at your model numbers.

Recent HD failures and backups

From my understanding Ghost will make a exact copy of you hard drive. So you can put it on cd or another hard drive I think. I think that you might be able to boot from the cd, but maybe not. I would think that they should have documentation on how it works exactly.

Dead IBM HD

I have a IBM HD drive that recently died and it is from the era when IBM had big problems with them. I know people were getting replacement drives from IBM, but i wasn't sure if they are still doing that or not. Do any of you know? Thanks in advance
