Core colors?

The idea: Blue cores come from Dresden, and normally o/c faster because of copper interconnects (that right word?), and green were from Austin, aluminum interconnects, worse overclockers. Not sure if its true though.

Removing HSF thats on with superglue

I decided to put a Blorb on....and experiment with peltiers on the kt133a chip.....*cough*...well things didnt work out so well with that idea(but board still works!) so I left it with JUST a blorb

Removing HSF thats on with superglue

Recently I took the heatsink on my KT133A chip off to put on some thermal grease, and to put it back on I put 4 drops of superglue on the corners. I would think slowly prying it off would be ok, but insight would be liked, thanks.

What's best Rain, Waterfall or CPUIDLE?

I believe Win2K and WinME BOTH have built in cpu-idle stuff to keep things cooler, so theres no need for programs.

Upgrade to DDR?

I myself am doin the exact same thing you are, gettin a new socketA system soon. Some of my advice firstoff: think about getting a KT133A board or a DDR board, forget about KT133.

Is Celeron 800 any good for playing 3d games?

new mobo=$120~ Duron 600=$45 Never forget about that, since duron tends to whoop the celeron2 in benchmarks, doesn't it? And the 600's pretty overclockable too, it it not? (corect me on this)

Wierd findings on 1.1GHz T-Birds

Or for some wierd reason a litle overspilled loctite joined some certain L1 bridges in a combination that caused the 13x? But I doupt this.

That 1.3Ghz thing could be true, since I havn't heard anything about it being 133MHz..and it couldnt be could it? If it is the same core, as compuwiz said, we know how the KT133 chip doesnt handle speeds beyond 100MHz very well...I might be wrong and probably am, if so, correct me! :)

I agree. MSI had it going for them, with the success of the Pro2 series and how they were highly regarded. I too was anticipating a new MSI KT133A board...but I've waited long enough. They dug they're own grave and its gonna be hard to get out of it(of course in the KT133A market only I mean!).

Win2k + overclocked system = no go?

All of you seem to be running Intel, or is the person with 700@1000 a AMD? If not I need some AMD peoples response

Win2k + overclocked system = no go?

I've heard Win2k has probs with this...I love Win2k for apps and game support is up-to-snuff but if its unstable...I'd haveto use win98..and win98 doesnt handle video editing very well (since 4gb+ files), any comments?

They're delayed...I think. I read over at some site that AMD forgot to include a spec and the KT133A boards wont be able to do 1.5GHz+...no prob now but in future wih Palamino...correct me if I'm wrong...
