left my comments previously (on pg 6 or 7)... week later, this monitor still kicks @ss. Good to see that Tom's Hardware got their hands on one, too.
I agree with prob about the OSD buttons... kind of stupid, but at least I haven't had to mess with them after initial setup.
BTW, I bought this monitor from TigerDirect... .am definitely pleased, although you have to buy/download Pivot Pro software (or some other competitior) to take advantage of the portrait mode. I believe that Samsung and ViewSonic models that have portrait capability come with the sw bundled in...
I was about to pull the trigger on 17" ViewSonic (VP1712b-2) which has upgraded panel and pivot function. But realized that smaller size at same resolution meant a lot of squinting for someone who works looking at text on a monitor all @#4ing day. I opted to go for a 19" and started...
Here's an independent review. You'll see that this monitor got highest rating from these folks, but then didn't get mentioned in the conclusion. From what I understand, they reviewed this AFTER they did the full article.

I think this might explain the low price associated with this monitor. Samsungs with pivot technology are shipped with Pivot Pro software from Portrait Displays.

It's $40 to download... Perhaps some vid cards have this ability... BTW, I've watched key scenes...
Ummm, no.... it's not just a prob with the mouse. My taskbar and everything on the screen keeps it's same orientation (ie. my computer icon is now turned on angle). Basically, I pivot but nothing happens with the image. if I could change windows resolution to 1024x1280 (intead of the...
got my monitor... bright as $h!t, too bright. huge size, 1 stuck blue sub-pixel in center of screen... arrrghhh. Didn't notice until 20 min after powering on and fired up VietCong. Static black screen made it apparent. Not a big deal, since you don't notice it at all 99% of the time...
Latisha waves hand: "There are no problems with CompUSA. Everything is fine. You love CompUSA"
I just got notified that TD just shipped mine. Should get it on 2/14 and will post a review if it's worth the $$... fingers crossed that there aren't any dead pixels, otherwise I'm gonna be...
i submitted an order to TigerDirect yesterday, via Amazon.com... Figured that CompUSA wouldn't know what was going on until a month from now. However, I now go out to the TD site and see that L90D+ is no longer available from them. It's also not in stock at the amazon site.
TigerDirect...
I was in the same quandry... was about to pull the trigger on the ViewSonic VP171B-2, but realized that a 17" LCD that foces me to 1280x1024 would cause eye strain. I currently have 17" crt on my desk at 1024x768 and it sits in the middle of my desk. Whatever lcd I buy, it's going to be moved...
