Got one today too. Was just about to order from Newegg but couldn't pass this up. FYI, you may need to flash firmware. Mine had a date of July 2003. It had firmware 306 and would only do 24x max. Flashed to 309 and now get 52x sweetness!:cool:

I would guess you will run into some grief in trying to put your OEM copy on another PC. An OEM license, as far as MS is concerned, is tied to the PC that it was originally installed on and cannot be transferred. I work for IT for a state agency and we were not able to transfer our OEM Windows...

Win2k boot menu help

I don't remember the actual click sequence but you can also try going into the control panel and system variables. There is a drop down box that shows the other os's. Make sure it says Win2k fast detect. There's also a box below that drop down that you uncheck so that Win2k will ignore the boot...

Soyo 6VBA133 & Win2K Prob

I am able to install Win2k from a freshly formatted drive with no problem. However, I then get caught in an endless loop of being prompted to install video, sound, and/or printer drivers. I'm logging in as admin and have the latest drivers. The installation appears to work & I'll be prompted...

Brag--Got my $150 Amazon GC from MCI with no probs. Heck, they still haven't switched the service yet so I may cancel before I even start. Moan--The DVD player I purchased arrived from Amazon with a big dent on it. I've never dealt with them so I hope getting a replacement won't be a hassle.

Poll: How was it to upgrade from 128 to 256+ mb ram under W2K?

I agree with the others. I did notice a slight improvement in boot-up but really noticed the multitasking & gaming improvements. FWIW, I did not get the same results when going from 256 to 384. I think 256 is W2K Pro's sweet spot.
