2600K @ 5GHZ, How common is it really???

Thats about the volts I was pulling @5ghz on my 2500k, the temps were no more then 80c at max load for over an hour which is fine by my own standards but thats just too much voltage to run daily all year then I'm comfortable with. I would run this at 4.8 if I wanted a max OC daily but I'm using...

Anyone have any experiece with Sager laptops?

good build but I would reccomend upgrading to the 1080p monitor (which is available on all models), and you might consider the np5160 which is about $50 more with a better gpu (with optimus so battery life is the same) and 900p monitor by default. Though you won't need the gpu headroom there...

Need a new laptop... Again

fixed. Sager's are the best bang for buck in performance and xoticpc is a really great dealer you get to customize your order as much as possible even if you don't get a sager.

Sager NP5160 Heat Concerns

Is there any difference in temps with optimus enabled? (My 5160 hasn't arrived yet so I don't know) Surely you don't need to use the discrete gpu while browsing the web. I would just set up a power mode so that the cpu doesnt turbo by setting the max clock to 99%. As far as performance goes...

Do you need a quadcore for rendering/encoding or a dualcore for effeciency? 13" screen I take it? What are you looking for in build quality? Price range? The Sony Vaio S is pretty good for around $999

I totally agree with Fuzzymath. I used to have a dell xps 17" that i would lug around everywhere back in 2006, worst investment I've ever made. High end laptops go obsolete quick and they just generally don't age well (eventually it just died, high power discrete graphics don't necessarily help...

Clevo W170HN - worth it?

those i7 mobile chips are quad core the i5 mobile are dual core. The i7 2630qm is the one you want. Also about the $220 upgrade for the screen. Its worth it, you get twice gamut rating, the color quality difference is huge. I just purchased the 15" version with the 1080p matte finish 95%...

Sandy Bridge Laptops Release Date?

My buddy just got his Toshiba A665-S5184 he ordered from officemax. They were really quick on shipping they weren't kidding when they said 1 to 3 day shipping. Another friend of mine and I just ordered the HP dv6t and dv7t. Looking forward to those.
