My point was that my kid's PC is working without installing the host fix. Is anyone else seeing the same result? It looks like it was an update file error to me.
Did the host file fix on my machine and it worked fine. I then went to do the fix on my kid's PC which had the same problem and found that it had updated correctly on it's own. Purhaps it was just a bad update file. Can anyone else confirm to see if their files are now updating correctly...
I have two PCs at home, both with Diamond's HomeFree NICs. Currently they are connected with a 15' Cat 5 cable and everything works fine. I wanted to move one of the PCs so I purchased a Belkin 25' Cat 5e cable. With the Cat 5e installed nothing works. I thought it might be a defective cable...
