Do you use the AMD CPU driver?

Do you mean the dual core optimizer or the cpu driver? They are two different things. You can use the cpu driver and if you do not want Cool and Quiet enabled it can be turned off in the bios of your motherboard. The dual core optimizer is what cmdrdredd is referring to, I believe. I use the...

TungFree, you may need to contact them. They still have over 5,000 of those sound cards in stock so hopefully they come with drivers. Give them a call or contact their support department. By them I refer to Rochester Electronics.

I would like some opinions on upgrade.

This is a cheap idea, but instead of watercooling perhaps a couple of 120mm holes for fans cut into the armoir to get fresh air in and hot air out would be possible. My thinking is that even watercooling is dependent upon the ambient air temperature and a closed armoir will still heat up with...

Looked here: http://www.cirrus.com/en/products/eol/index.html and it is listed on the end of life list. For support they suggest going here: www.rocelec.com . Perhaps Rochester Electronics can help you out on drivers. Good luck.

Upgrade path - socket 939

I'm back... Opteron 165 CCBBE 0616XPMW at 2812 @1.45volts. Two gigs of Patriot PC4000 is at 255mhz (DDR510) 3-4-4-8, 1T using 333 divider. Cpu is at 9x312. Good investment for a little under $400. I like the Abit AN8 Ultra and this will hopefully last me until DDR3 is mainstream in late 2008 or...

proper Socket 939 Heat sink Fan removal

Used Arctic Silver Ceramique on my Athlon64 4000+ and my XP-90C lifted right off after a year and three months of daily use. I'll stick with this thermal compound as long as they make it. Great stuff! Cleans up easily as well.
