Is getting a 256GB SSD for game installations worth the extra price & less space?

Well I was talking about in-game performance (apparently texture streaming and pop-ins are substantially improved with SSDs), not loading times, but thanks. Already bought the big SSD... ARMA 3 is going there...

Best Flight Simulator? (already out or upcoming)

Ok, so to sum up, in order to get the best combat sim experience, for a beginner like myself, I need to: 1) Get A10c (or black shark 2?) just for the training 2) Get Flaming Cliffs 3 to fly on missions...etc Is there anything that lies middle-ground between a simulator and a horribly cheesy...

I've seen some FC3 videos... in all of them it was more like a joy ride on a fighter jet. Are there actual missions/campaigns in the game?

So which combat sim should I get now, in 2013? They all look decent, with albeit quite dated release dates... I have a super powerful rig if that changes anything... (extra points for a little bit accessibility.. it's been a long time)

Thanks guys. Just dropped the extra $$$ to get a bigger 256GB SSD for games installations... I heard ARMA 2's performance and texture streaming benefited from the SSD's loading times in-game... so given that ARMA 3 is posed to be the most ridiculously looking PC game this year, and I'm getting...

Best Flight Simulator? (already out or upcoming)

I finally have a decent gaming machine, and would love to invest in a decent flight simulator... Problem is, they all seem to be old for the hardware. FSX is almsost 6 years old, and X-plane 10 despite being less than 2 years old, is not as good as FSX... am I missing a game here? PS - I didn't...

..or should I just get a cheaper combo of a 128GB or 64GB crucial m4 + 750GB/1TB 7200RPM? It was my understanding that only load times are decreased, and not game performance, but many are reporting that after switching from SSD to HDD, texture pop-in started happening in games like ArmA and...

I'm a junkie for some old titles. Will Windows 8 run them?

Well, I checked gog.com and they only have SWAT 3.... does that mean that SWAT 4 runs normally and doesn't need optimizations? (it didn't need any extra tinkering on Windows 7)

Some genres just never got repeated, like SWAT 4 (tactical shooter) and Commandos.... I am faced with the choice of two M17x's, one with Windows 8, and the other with Windows 7... for the same price. While I hate W8's UI, I need to think about DirectX 11.1 support and future-proofing my pricey...

I seriously doubt Windows 7 users -all millions of them- won't have access to "Xbox titles" if they ever come out labelled as such. As a matter of fact, the use of the name "Xbox" in Windows 8 is as big a fad as it was when it was used for Windows Phone: It has very little to do with actual Xbox...
