retaining mouse wheel settings in XP

the mouse is a MS IntelliPoint Explorer. I am using the drivers that came with XP - another MS porducet :)

retaining mouse wheel settings in XP

everytime i reboot, i lose my mouse wheel setting - scroll page at time. It always reverts to 'line at a time' . Is there a trick to holding this setting?

WinME and > 512 ram

thanks guys... I'm already at 512 mb, so I'll wait tille next week, after XP is installed to add the RAM.

I have heard that ME doesnt do well with more than 512 mb of ram. Since prices are so low, I picked up a pair of 512 mb ram sticks for a very good price. Will i have to tweak something in order to make ME behave itslef with more than 512 mb of ram?

MS Flight Sim manual

another place to check out for flightsim books is Barnes & Noble, or..pretty much any Half-Priced book stores. Plus there are tons of flightsim sites that have links to FS book sellers. and muff... isnt it strange how your phase "Have fun with it as it's a great tool for learning!" normally...

Flight Simmers!

muff... the new MSFS will be awesome. but, sadly, due to political correctness, the release is being pushed back. Until then, check out flightsim.com it has tons of extra aircraft, scenery, utilites and a great forum.

USB port/hub problem....i need ideas!

I bought this really cool, internal usb/firewire combo hub that fits into the 3 1/2" floppy bay. Connected it all, and fired it up. Everything (usb mouse, flightsim yoke, scanner (for the usb) and a DV cam (for the firewire)), works fine with the hub EXCEPT my HP Smartcam 315 digital camera...

det4's and 3dmark2001 problem

I'm getting an error when running the 3dmark2001 (default benchmark) thats says it cant enable the hardware accelleration. It comes during the second test. I get no errors when running dxdiag tests. I have gone back and changed to standard vga...then reloaded the det4's. Same error. I'm...

40 gb harddrive ...parition limits?

I'm running WinME, with a PIII 1ghz, 512 mb of ram, on an Asus CUV4X. Am I going to be able to keep the whole drive as one partition?? I do have Partition Magic 6.0.

and just for a fresh view... try "Liberty". Its Libertarian, very well written, and quite funny. You can get it at most Barnes and Noble. Very few ads, no pictures. Its all writing. A very impressive list of contributors too. Covers all aspects of American life: social, political, economic...

problem with mfc42.dll

The application is Easy CD Creator 4.05 when i try to open the cd jewel creator i get an error message thats says 'cdjewel has caused a problem in mfc42.dll" I uninstalled and re-install the app. I upgraded 4.02 to 4.05 version from roxio. I restored the latest version(6.0.8447.0) of mfc42.dll...
