TN panels will cause issues with long term usage day in and day out usage, such as production in an office, headaches etc. Also most TN panels are incorporated in displays that "designed" for consumer use, not "commercial usage" as in a business. Insurance, NFPA, and other factors may come...

The Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP is the direct replacement, it is a S-PVA panel (whereas the the 2405 was just PVA), and you can obtain new from Dell with coupon stacking as low as $ 370.00. But hurry Dell is moving away from Samsung S-PVA panels to LGD IPS panels with the new 24" Dell UltraSharp...
