thanks ill give it a try... im really hoping for 9X133, i hear that its pretty likely i can hit it. im really afraid that this 250W ps just wont cut it, but ive heard high quality ones can really handle more than they are rated at. theres only one way to find out i guess...

well I bought the board from ajump.com, and the tbird from pcboost.com. i would suggest looking at pricewatch.com to find a place that sells both for a good price. thanks for the help... tnt2 ultra, sb live, modem, nic.... i certainly hope everything will run off that 250W ps. how much does a...

one more thing, if the 250 doesnt work, what will be some symptoms? i dont want to mistake the powersupply not working for say...the motherboard or proccessor not working

The Abit KT7A (yes i found a place that sells them) and the 1Ghz tbird I ordered should be here by thursday! I hope I can make it to at least 1.2 with the PAL6035, maybe ill get lucky and hit 1.3!? I'll post after I set up to tell how it turns out... I am worried about one thing, i have a 250W...

how hot will a tbird run?

will a 1ghz tbird (non overclocked) run any hotter than say a...750, 800, 950 or any other cpu overclocked to 1ghz?

if i buy a 1ghz tbird right now, what are the chances it will be newer (possibly a better overclocker) and from the dresden plant? would it be better to wait a week or two?

What's a copper shim?

i just bought a pal6035 and a copper shim. i bought one with cut-outs for the feet, so it will stay aligned and i dont have to rip off the feet. im looking at the shim right now, and it looks pretty well made (got it from CPUFx, through overclockers hideout). i bought it for the sole reason that...

air flow for the Alpha

i just bought a pal6035 (put it together a couple hours ago actually), and ive heard that alpha reccomends sucking the air up from the heatsink. there have been a couple reviews where theyve seen temp drops around 1-2 degrees with the fan sucking air up. as far as installing, it should be pretty...

I need help overclocking a PIII 500

i have the same problem. ive got a PIII 500 and a tyan trinity 400 motherboard. ive got to 560 (5X112) stable using the slot 1 golden orb, but wont boot any higher. i havent tried increasing the voltage yet, im building a new system anyway but i might as well push this one. any suggestions?

Optical Mouse? Hmmm....
