you could put 256 or atleast 192 mb for now...it all depends on what you use it for..
gaming, 3d rendering, photoshop : 384 mb
surfing : 128 should suffice
office applications : 192 will do fine
but, my manual claims that everything is controlled by the bios.......
i even searched the board manally for any jumpers concerned with fsb...none were there
isnt there any utility that can help me overclock the cpu?
if you putting all that great hardware on a low-end mobo you will have alot of problems..
i wouldsuggest you buy a mobo based on i815 (without inbuilt video),prefferably an asus
it would run on a 250w supply easily.as far as ram is concerned, buy as much as you can afford as one can never have...
XP? - definetely no for a computer with a problem already
they should be fine with 98se or Me with absolutely no heat problems.XP has a tendency to overload computers with limied Ram and processing power...as i have found out with my 128mb system
also, if your cel300 is in an atx cab, shutting...
if it can supply 300w of power, you should have no problem running it at all....
perhaps you could go to a local computer hardware centre to get it tested for any faults..
i too had had the same doubt...but one of friends had an 810ebased mobo that has cel733 on it. it doesn't show anything over 83 mhz fsb. moreover, my mobo's manual claims that it supports cpus from 66 to 133 mhz fsb...see my mobo here
i have a celeron 850 mounted on a mercury 815eTFSX(815ep) mobo.the problem is that the bios shows me options only between 100 and 115 for overclocking making it possible for me to only touch 978 Mhz.
is there any other way that i can overclock it to reach atleast a gig? the manual fails to show...
it would be good if you use thermal grease as it helps in better heat conduction and thus improve the performance of your PC. Processors usually fail to perform to their optimum level if the temperature is high...
i have a p-2 450mhz on a luckytech p811a mobo(intel 810e chipset)
in bios i have the options 100,103,124....
i want to run the processor at a faster speed, but i can push it to just 464mhz(103*4.5)
when i put it to 124, either it shows the overclocked speed and hangs or beeps and hangs with a...
AMDs rule.....they are NOT consistent of quality or stabilty. In fact couple an athlon with a board from asus and you are ensured rock-solid stability even a an 100mhz+ overclocked speed.....a definete plus for your games
DTT 3500d...definetely!!
nothing can come closer...believe me! the punch of the wodden sub to the quality of surround sound.....its just unbelievable!
but you must keep a look on termites before they devore the subs case!!!
