Help with selecting a new soundcard upgrade...

:) I have a Athlon XP 3000+ nForce2 chipset system. What would be a good soundcard to upgrade to? I just bought new mdr-v700 Sony headphones and would like to have a soundcard that would be worthy of them. Thanks. P.S. my nForce2 did not come with SoundStorm.

The eye wall has collapsed!!!!!!!!!!!!

Embedded Fonts in Firefox

1. Yes, it is free to download and use. 2.? 3. No. It is totally free and runs through code in IE which I would imagine Firefox could run since Firefox is compatible with Windows.

:disgust: Does anyone know if Firefox will adopt Microsoft's WEFT embedded font software so web builders can display the font they really want to like they can in IE?

Problem with Quotes in XHTML

I figured it out! IE does not respond to the q tag and leaves the space blank. Firefox and Navigator do respond to the q tag. But like IE, they accept regular quote marks in your text and display them. I guess this means the q tag is obsolete.

Problem with Quotes in XHTML

I am learning HTML by using Elizabeth Castro's HTML for the WWW, 5th Edition. According to her, to use quotes in text you have to use q text /q. But when I open my pages the quotes in the paragraphs are not there. But if I type them into the text like normal, they show up! Is the q tag...

nVidia cForce processors?

Why not: AMD and nVidia merge into a new powerhouse PC corporation: AMDnVidia Corporation. Sort of like ExxonMobil, JP MorganChase, LockheedMartin... :thumbsup:

Question about my AGP8X.

:cool: Thank you everyone. Yes, it does look like the aida32 DMI was wrong. They did put it in the top AGP slot and there are three PCI slots below it; two empty, and one with the dial-up modem installed. I knew I would get to the bottom of it thanks to u guys.

Question about my AGP8X.

I have an nVidia nForce2-IGP chip set on an Asus A7N8X-LA mobo. I had a computer shop install an Asus AGP-V9180 graphics card with 64 mb memory. My nVidia System Utility says my AGP bus is running at 66 mhz. Since my new graphics card uses the NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP8X how come the AGP...

3.0 download just around the corner?

But the rest of us have to wait. Not fair. Covad provides the DSLAMs but it looks like their contract with Earthlink prohibits them from offering the same DSL packages in competition. Covad currently offers 3.0/768 for $99.95 I will pass on that.

Is this motherboard crap?

:):cool: Another reason my tech guy talked like that is because he has an ax to grind with HP. He told me HP has fired all of their authorized warranty repairmen and sent all of the work to India. Now when I have a problem it seems I have to ship my PC to HP for repairs. Ugh.

:Q Is that 5 m ghz by any chance 5 million ghz??? Oh my gawd... That's a high frequency indeed. And gamma rays even higher. But though the frequency may change, the speed is constant, correct? 186,000 mps.
