I'm looking for recommendations for a new monitor.
24" in size (can't fit anything bigger on this desk). 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 resolution is fine either way. IPS or VA preferably. It's main use is gaming, but also surfing the web, watching videos. Price around $300ish, if something was...
On a Fractal Design Arc Midi R2, one of the two front USB 3.0 ports does not seem to work. I get nothing on anything I plug in to the one on the right, the one on the left works just fine. Since both plugs are on the same header on the motherboard, I'm not getting why the one is functioning and...
Well if there is no discernible pattern and Seagate can't re-create the problem, they aren't going to give me a new PSU. They'll charge me for their time + I'll be out shipping costs.
That's my concern, if it was continuous I'd have RMA'd it already.
I tried pressing on the centre of it, but I don't think it had any impact.
The clicking/ticking is super random it seems. I did a cold boot and it started doing it. So I tried again doing a cold boot, it didn't start clicking/ticking.
I tried gaming for 40 minutes or so, no clicking/ticking...
The benefit of waiting would be that the ticking/clicking isn't constant right now. So if they test it and it doesn't tick/click for them I'll be out a fair amount of money and be exactly where I started.

It's not constant, it seems...
I don't really want to buy used, especially something from 4+ years ago that could be near the end of it's useful life. Plus being in Canada there aren't really any available on eBay aside from the US, so I have to shipping + duties and taxes on top of the price.
It's mainly going to be a secondary system for Internet, office programs and light gaming at most.
Would something like this do the trick:

So I have some parts left over from a previous build I want to-reuse in a another machine.
I have a hard drive (WD 1 TB Caviar Black, XFX 5770 video card, Corsair 750tx PSU, case, optical drive and 8 GB of this memory...
I put a Noctua NF-A14 FLX 140mm Ultra Quiet Cooling Fan as a top exhaust fan on this case and am getting fairly loud vibration noise.
I disconnect the fan and all is quiet again.
I used the rubber mounts it came with, but what I notice with this case is the center of the fan touches right...
