Tyan 2462UNG with NMB ps no reboot!!

This is interesting... I plug 2 80mm case fans into my motherboard, and the other two I have wired on an on/off switch... does the tyan check the motherboard fans for the load.. or is it looking to the molex fans? Either way, all I did to "solve" this problem was relocate a fan inside my box...

The fan was on moved around in the case.. so I didn't add any additional power to the box. I can only hope that a geforce 3, wd 100 gb ata hd, cd burner, 2 15000 rpm hard drives, 4 sticks memory 4 80mm case fans is enough to load the powersupply.. not to mention the soundblaster audigy, which...

i set an 80mm sunon fan above my northbridge and around my 2 athlons and my machine now reboots.. i am investigating a way to permantly mount the fan.. this doesnt surprise me due the massive heat around there

thank you very much.. atleast i know now i am not totally crazy... i'm still not totally sure if i should change my ps from the NMB to the delta although i can say that this system was ROCK solid.. and them some.. until i moved from dual 1.2 MP to dual XP 1800+.. moves me wonder if i should try...

Is it safe to connect and remove molex connectors while system is still on?

I wouldn't do something so foolish as play around with my rig "hot." Shut down. Think about placement before you fire the rig up. Others might swap their fans, but do you really want to take the risk of burning up all or part of your rig because you didnt want to shut down each time. Think...
