When will the first truly good LCD for games (as good as CRT) come out under $900 (17")? Will they ever be as good as CRT?

I'm not sure what I was thinking about 128 bit colour. I heard something about 128-bit floating point precision or something like that. I still think that CRT will be the way to go for games. I need something that works for games.

With todays video cards being able to do great things in high resolutions, is it pointless to get a LCD with a top-of-the-line graphics card? If it can only display one resolution correctly, can all the power of these new graphics cards be utilized? Also, isn't there 128-bit colour in graphics...

Radeon9700 PRO w/ CnC Generals

Great! I was hoping that it would run on a 9700 perfect. That will be my next gaming addiction! It was either that or wait for the R350, which I know next to nothing about. Most important spec = price :) Any guesses?

Suggestions for keyboard/mouse/monitor?

For wireless keyboard/mouse you would have to go to Logitech. If you like split-key keyboards, there is a wireless package with it and a mouse. Really sleek. But then again, Logitech has lots of good packages. May want to get the MX700, the wirelss with the charging station. Bottom line -...

GeForce FX, predictions.

My thinking is that the normal FX card would perform great, and that the Ultra would offer minimal extra performance. Perhaps a little higher core speed...

What is a good 17" LCD monitor for gaming?

No way Clawhammer under $300.

I heard from some very reliable sources that the Clawhammer would debut at 250-275. But I see that the latest AMD chip (2700+) is around $350. So how can the more advanced Clawhammer be 100 dollars less when it comes out? And the 2700 has already been out for a while. Maybe I was told...
