yes, sort of. the driver is installed in the Device Manager and ATITool starts just fine, but does not read GPU clocks, probably because of the display drivers being crap, so though it works and is installed, it's kind of pointless until better drivers drop. Nothing is reading the GPU bios...

Your experience with Vista Beta 2

the Stash isn't going to like this method one bit, but here you go :thumbsup: I put this up a couple days ago (my handle= hawkeyefan on all boards but this one) you need to disable User Access Control, disable Driver Signing, and use an XP x64 driver...and install twice. plus some goofy bugs...

Looking for someone running Vista with an Audigy 2 or X-Fi (x86 version)

which driver are you using...cause Vista betas from Creative do not work with the public release Vista beta 2 build 5384...not made for it. everyone installing those is getting either no sound or stereo. you have to install the 2.08.004 driver for XP/XPx64 and do it by the following...

yeah but it's still not a completely functional Control Panel...a lot of the optimiztaions you're trying to access simply are not present in the current 88.61 driver packs

I've gotten all of those to work, CPU-Z, MBM5, PowersTrip, a whole bunch of stuff usually you need to run either the installer or the program itself either in Windows XP SP2 Compatiblity Mode, or at the very least right-click>>Run as Administrator

#1 question would be which sound provider are you using? X-fi appears to be nonfunctional on either. Audigy 2/4 should be fully functional if you install them properly imho x64 is extremely stable for a beta. it is now my primary OS. check my sig for hardware, at this point the only...

no, but in the same token, everyone is claiming only stereo sound out of their Audigy cards, which is flat-out baloney. I suspect the X-Fi situation is precisely the same. have you tried the method I suggested? not to toot my own horn, but I'm pretty sure I'm the only person alive right now...

I can probably help you get the X-Fi set up, got my Audigy 2 fully functional with Xp x64 driver pack and some tinkering. btw, I have run just a few runs of SuperPi 1M and a couple runs of 3DMark05, everything at same exact overclock in both OS: SuperPi1M: XP 32 = 32.5s vista x64=...

fwiw, you don't need to go through all that...changing active partitions Vista has a bootloader that simply allows you to choose which OS you want to run in DOS. not a bad feature imho what soundcard are you using Navid? I got my Audigy 2 fully functional in Vista x64 (i.e. all speakers...
