I've just jumped on the Climate train :)
Does anybody know if the Climate client is memory bandwith or cpu bound?
I'm asking because I have a dual Athlon (2800+ Barton MP) and quad P3 Xeon (550MHz 2MB cache) and I'm just wondering if running more clients (each on in a VMware virtual PC because...
Hi!
Does somebody know why?
It started aroung 1600 UTC and all my clients are affected.
It's not a "Bad update" problem because I've updated my clients about 30 minutes ago (after the problems started)
This might be because my colleges at T-Online killed my internet account.
I barely managed to get it re-enabled - was a rough fight but I've won - maybe because I work for the IT support responsible for the board of directors of deutsche telecom (mother company of T-Online) :)
I have an other "bad" message.
I'm going to switch everything but the secondary CPUs of the dual CPU boards back to S@H if the gap between us and BBR is narrowing as fast as it is now.
So there will be only 10GHz of P3 power left for DF
Robor:
How fast are the P4's )foldings*second).
I'm asking because I have a P4 mobo laying around here without a cpu.
is it worh buying a 1800a for it or not?
I've just checked my clients at work (I love VPN connections) - the update failed on all clients.
Does somebody know if there is a problem with autoupdate and connection to the inet via a http proxy ?
Go TeAm go.. :)
BTW: I can only do so many foldings on weekens.
On a normal day my peak production will be around 1.7M foldings.
On weekends it shound be as high as 3M foldings.. maybe a little more.
