If you play your games fine then don't do it. Then again, if you have alot of money to burn and love hardware, then by all means.
I wouldn't go 680 SLI at this point due to 2GB VRAM.
The bullets that are absorbed (78% chance in the shield I farmed. 94% is the highest for The Sham) does not hurt you (Not taking health or shield down) and get the ammo in your backpack.
Here is my Borderlands 2 farming videos. I've farmed most of the legendaries before, but got the idea I should record every drop.
Also, finally got The Bunker to drop the rare Sham Shield today.
Also The Bitch

I would not say bad luck. Saturn only drops the Invader as legendary. Each boss drops his own legendary. Also, Saturn has a very low drop rate on his legendary when compared to many other bosses.
Instead you should go farm bosses with better legendaries.
Here is a very nice legendary...
I play Borderlands 2 alot and have 1 Gunzerker at Level 50, one Commando at Level 50 and another Gunzerker at about Level 14.
So please add me to Steam if you want a mate to play with. Steam User name: turrican9
Yeah, there is a trick to get lengendaries every time you pull the slot machines. Just search Google.
I don't think I'm allowed to post about cheating in here.
You should be using Gunzerking all the time. I found it best to use the Rampage tree. It has many important Gunzerking skills. Also put some points in the Brawn tree - Incite and Hard To Kill are nice to have.
I had to do it with other people. Had the same problem you have.
Maybe you and me could take Terramorphous? I need the Terra mod for my Commando. Maybe we could split the loot from Terra?
pm me if you are interested, so I can add you to Steam
a Q6600@3.5GHz can make for a huge CPU bottleneck in badly coded games.
As an example, I tested a Q9650@4GHz VS a 2500K@4.5GHz in Oblivion. I tried both a GTX 260 and a GTX 570. Q9650 system would fall in the low 30's at certain spots, like the tall grass outside Anvil. 2500K would keep 60FPS...
