Im late to the game, but I'll ask anyway .... did you install with an damp/wet location outlet cover? An inspector / code officer won't know how it's wired up, but they will notice an outside outlet without the required cover..

AC has a freon leak....

Sounds like your getting typical HVAC runaround trying to push you into getting new equipment. Not to say that you don't need new equipment, but this tech isn't even trying to find a problem. It's just the ole "well something mysterious is wrong, its cheaper to just replace it" routine...

Is this even legal to vent a area this way?

Hard to tell from the pic without seeing the whole thing. Rooms with gas fired appliances that don't have a means to pull in combustion directly from the outside are required to have a high and low vent in the room to allow fresh air to enter for the burners. So that might be why the one duct...

Looking for some help deciding between Coleman and Trane (both 2 stage) HVAC units

Coleman is built by York, who is owned by Johnson controls, so they aren't a fly-by-night company at least. I don't think their rep is as good overall as Trane, but the unit has a good warranty so it should be comparable. Probably not worth 5k extra just for a different name, the Trane unit is...

Any HVAC installers?

That stub up should have a cap on it. It shouldn't be glued on, but should be tight enough so as to not get blown off by the fan pressure in the coil. Its not there as a vent, its there to provide a way to cleanout the drain line if it gets clogged. If you don't cap it, air will always blow...

Why is a year four seasons long?

I was on an Uber ride recently in North Florida and the driver told me there are only two seasons in North Florida .... Crazy Humid and Road Construction. All the roads we went on were under construction, so apparently she was right.

Winter maintenance on outdoor power equipment (small engines)

The main thing is just draining the carb by running it dry or draining it manually. Gas left in the carb will evaporate no matter what you put in it, and the varnish it leaves behind will clog the carb. The other stuff like fogging the cylinders with oil will certainly help with long term storage.

No the kv-1 is tier v. When they broke up the Russian heavy line it took the tier 5 spot and the kv-1s, kv2, and the t150 became the tier 6 choices after it.

Yeah I was the same on the wireless, I didn't set out to get it, but when I bought mine it was I think 15 bucks difference to the equivalent wired set so I took a chance. I've grown to really like them since they have good range and I can walk into kitchen or even on front porch and still hear...

I run logitech g930 headphones. They run wireless for about 8 hours on a charge, 7.1 sound, built in Mic, and cost about 100 bucks. Great bang for the buck. And going from speakers to headphones is a night and day difference in picking up ambient sounds in games.
