Did anyone play X2 "The Threat"?

How do I enable PureVideo?

download the nvidia dvd decoder (30 day free trial), then watch a dvd in wmp, in your system tray right click the nvidia logo and you will see decoder options or something like that where you can adjust options

Minimize Ghosting on my Samsung 710T LCD

Having a higher refresh rate on an LCD monitor does not reduce eye strain, LCD monitors should not cause eye strain because the image is not redrawn , instead each pixel is changed to the new value from the old value.

I prefer LCDs, they're brighter, sharper and produce a perfect image (not in terms of colour reproduction I know but geometry wise)I don't notice any ghosting. What you have said is a bit of an unqualified generalisation.

i doubt very very much that you will see any difference between 60Hz and 75Hz, very much. Once you have a nice new 710T sitting next to that 753DFX you'll realise how bulky, dim, out of focus and ugly it is in comparison, i plan on replacing mine with another 710T very soon

Problem with speakers

any mp3 or wav or other sound file format will play through two speakers if it is stereo or mono, but play them on a something that can't create the extra channels for a 5.1 system and you won't get the extra channels, you'll just hear it through the front left and right speakers and the sub...

nothing needs to be set in the BIOS, just plug them in and they'll be recognised

Problem with speakers

You need something to upmix a stereo source (CDs) to six channel surround (Creative's cards have CMSS) or like Dolby Pro Logic. If the source is only stereo what you're going to hear will be stereo

Three things: Socket 754 uses single channel for memory so it may well be cheaper to get 1*1024MB stick 500Watts might be overkill for that system, I also don't know whether Aspire make good power supplies, you'd probably be okay with a good quality 400Watt supply, unless you are looking to...

How do i fix it?

Changing back to the MS IDE drivers worked, or at least i think it did, this is the third time i've thought it's been fixed only to find out 5mins into a DVD that it is still not working. Thankyou

I have an Asus CDRW5232AS (CD RW drive) and an Asus E616-P2 (DVD Drive). When i have a CD in the CD RW drive i can't watch a DVD (video only, ROMs are fine) that's in the DVD drive. It doesn't matter how the drives are connected. Also, when there is a CD in the CD RW drive the Read light is...
