Kevin Trudeau gets 10 years in prison

IIRC, the jail time is not for the books and infomercials. It is for the fact he refused to pay the fine for the books and infomercials, claiming "proverty" while still living a very rich lifestyle. The jail time was for criminal contempt.

Is Amazon Customer Service going the way of Newegg?

Amazon only guarantee price matches on televisions and cellphones. They do not price match anything else AFAIK.

Prime guarantees delivery within 2 business days, so the actual time to ship is as fast as you would expect to make that possible. As in, same day, or next day at latest.

With the advances in screen tech, does the good 'o CRT still have any advantages?

Mostly display lag, and display lag only really applies in very rare circumstances, or if the LCD has a ridiculous amount. Also, numerous LCDs have sub-1 frame lag at 60 fps, which is sufficient for nearly all purposes.

He got in trouble because his usage violated the TOS, not because of his usage amount, though the amount was probably was prompted the further investigation in the first place

Empathy and compassion are relative depending on the person. And many people care more about "doing what they please in life" than empathy and compassion to others. If one could guarantee empathy and compassion to all, from all, then no, we do not need laws, norms, or limits. But one can't, so...
